About Me
I'm Julia and I’m deeply curious about the world we live in. I see design as a way to explore these curiosities to create amazing experiences to make people's lives easier and more joyful.
Currently I'm a a Product Design Lead at Coffee Circle, where I’ve been lucky enough to work with amazing teammates to build out the Design System, Research repository, and a whole slew of other infrastructure topics to facilitate a delightful company culture in a hybrid work setup.
In my free time I’m working on a side project called Reading the City which recommends books that are deeply connected to different cities. More recently it’s evolved into dinner events and fiber arts explorations of urban landscapes through patchwork quilts.
Previously I’ve worked at a handful of different companies within the design discipline. They’ve ranged from Enterprise Machine Learning-based software (Tamr) to B2B software (Hotjar) to direct to consumer CPG (HelloFresh). I’ve enjoyed working with drastically different customer-bases and varying needs that tech could solve for them.
Before entering the tech world, I worked on designing internal processes with immigration non-profit organizations (KIND, CCAB, and CLSCC).
I'm an active member of Subforum, and Ladies that UX Boston.
I studied Urban Studies with a concentration in Sociology at Columbia University, and Graphic Design at RISD.
